We've put together a fantastic programme of holiday activities for the kids this summer across our sports centres, pools and museums. You can keep the kids entertained with a variety of sporting activities including swimming, rollerskating, trampolining and cheerleading! If you're feeling creative, head down to Ipswich Art School for our 'Art Skills' sessions or into Ipswich Museum and get involved in our 'Saxon Summer' workshops!
For the second year, Ipswich JAFFA Running Club in association with Ipswich Borough Council, Ipswich Building Society and Suffolk New College are bringing the fantastic Twilight 10k & 5k Road Race to Ipswich.
This summer sees a wide range of FREE sporting activity on offer across the whole of Ipswich which aims to get young people active.
Our sessions are for girls and young ladies. You can get hot and sweaty, you can be a beginner or an expert, it doesn’t matter who you are. All that matters is that you are there. To get a flavour of what this programme is about go to www.thisgirlcan.co.uk.
Here in Ipswich girls between 12-18 years old can swim in their own pool, punch themselves active in their own BoxFit session and smash their way through summer in their own Badminton session. This is about trying something new and being yourself.
Ipswich Waterfront Celebration is taking place along the Ipswich Quayside this summer. This new two-day event will run bi-annually, alternating with Maritime Ipswich and will provide a great weekend of activities for people of all ages to enjoy.
